Who does Angels' Place serve?
We serve people.
We serve people with developmental disabilities who have a primary diagnosis of mental retardation.
We serve people who may need help in order to cope with common life demands and who may not be able to complete some or many of the tasks of daily living that are typically expected of people in their same age group. To be characterized as a developmental disability the onset of the condition is apparent in childhood or before the age of 22.

The Angels' Place Philosophy of Care and Service
Angels’ Place has sixteen homes that provide specialized residential care, supported independent living, and community based services to over 150 individuals. We have homes in Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties. Also, through our Abundant Life Services Angels’ Place provides transitional services, educational workshops, community supports for those living on their own, respite programs for caregivers, and many other types of outreach.
Angels’ Place offers three levels of care:
Specialized Residential – Homes licensed through the state of Michigan providing 24 hour staffing support
Supported Independent Program (SIP) – Homes and apartment settings that are unlicensed, providing less than 24 hours of staffing support
Abundant Life Services – Non-residential, community based services providing skill-building opportunities, an artisans cooperative, respite, social outings and recreational activities
