Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Angels’ Place; we rely on the energy and commitment of our volunteers. Angels' Place benefits from the combined efforts of over 450 volunteers.
We are delighted you have taken this first step to learn more about how you can support Angels’ Place as we provide services to people with developmental disabilities. Angels’ Place welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and abilities. Because of the nature of care delivered at Angels’ Place, we look to match individuals with assignments that are well-suited for them and their interests.
Volunteering at Angels’ Place is a great way to fulfill service hour requirements for your school or organization. While we welcome volunteers of all ages, volunteers under the age of 16 years old must be supervised by an adult at all times while volunteering at Angels’ Place.
In addition, Angels’ Place has partnered with both schools and organizations over the years; our goal here is to develop cause-related ideas that are mutually beneficial for both parties. Contact us to see how we can work together.

Getting Started
There are many different ways to volunteer at Angels’ Place. Volunteers may create a regular schedule (i.e., weekly, bi-weekly, monthly visits, etc.) or may volunteer on an as needed or as available basis. CLICK HERE to learn about the types of volunteer opportunities at Angels’ Place.
All volunteers must complete a volunteer application prior to volunteering. The application can be downloaded HERE.
Due to the nature of the work of Angels’ Place, a background check will be completed on all volunteers. Please include your driver’s license number, social security number, date of birth and race where requested on the application form so a check can be completed.
We encourage volunteers to attend an orientation. Orientations are held in January, March, May and September. Due to the time between each session, volunteers may begin volunteering prior to attending an orientation session, as we need volunteers throughout the entire year.
Some volunteer opportunities at Angels’ Place require proof of a negative tuberculosis test; primarily volunteers that are working directly with our Angels’ Place residents in their home on an ongoing basis. This is a state law. So if working with the residents is of interest to you, please provide proof of a negative TB test that is no more than five years old. Please note the date of the test on your application. But for those of you who don’t have a recent TB test, we have many other volunteers opportunities we’d welcome your help with.
Following review of the completed application form, each applicant will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator to determine interests and opportunities.
Please contact Dawn Bradley at dbradley@angelsplace.com at the Angels’ Place office at (248) 350-2203 to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
