Shrine Academy Spa Night

Shrine Academy seventh graders, Anna DeHondt and Anna Bradley along with their mothers, brought spa night to the ladies of the Middlebury home. The ladies were pampered with manicures, pedicures and hair styles. The girls were welcomed with warmth, humor and ear to ear smiles from the ladies!

Anna, Sandy, Therese, Robin, Anna and Mary Beth pose in tiaras and scarves to wrap up a wonderful “Girls Night In”!

The smiles on the faces of Angels’ Place residents often say far more than words, however we sincerely thank the hundreds of volunteers, who last year provided over 8000 hours of their valuable time, to enrich the lives of Angels’ Place residents and help keep Angels’ Place homes well maintained. Our hats (and tiaras) are off to you!

Angels’ Place Youth Council!

What is the definition of Volunteering? It is defined as the practice of people working on the behalf of others without being motivated by financial or material gains. Combine the spirit of volunteering with the enthusiasm and passion of local youth, and amazing things can happen. In 2008, Angels’ Place established their first ever Youth Council; a bright and energetic group of teens and young adults who have made the commitment to work on behalf of Angels’ Place.

The goal of the Youth Council is to build awareness of developmental disabilities and Angels’ Place among their peers through positive interactions, volunteerism, and awareness workshops. We sincerely thank the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan for providing a grant to make the Angels’ Place Youth Council possible.
