Celebrating friendship

National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Listen. Learn. Give. Spread the word.

Every year in March, Angels' Place commemorates National Developmental Disabilities Month. A month set aside to celebrate the lives of those we serve.

We hope you will join us in celebrating this month and help us spread the word about our mission with your peers, family and friends.

In this picture, Michele is celebrating her birthday with Susan, Mary Beth, Betsy and JoAnn. They are housemates, but more than that, they are friends, that have a real love and caring for each other. Their faith is deep. They have been together for years and with us, will be for life. Similar stories are possible for people across our community because of the financial support of all of you.

We are so very grateful for all that you do to make all of this possible. Will you please join us in celebrating this special month and the people we are blessed to serve?

We are happy to share that an anonymous donor is willing to match all donations made during March! Help us reach our goal of $60,000 faster – all gifts will be matched up to $25,000!

Would you consider doubling your donation to Angels' Place?

LISTEN

Tune in to WJR on March 1 as we launch National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month with hosts: Frank Beckmann, Paul W. Smith, Guy Gordon and Mitch Albom. You will learn about some of our residents and our organization.

GIVE

We hope you will consider making a gift to Angels’ Place to help us reach our goal of $60,000. An anonymous donor is willing to match all donations made during March, up to $25,000!
If you're looking to get involved consider these opportunities. Contact burbiel@angelsplace.com to discuss.
  • Consider adopting one of our homes and write letters or send cards to the residents. This time can be especially lonely for those we serve.
  • Take up a collection of pantry items in your neighborhood, church or place of business. Angels' Place can especially use paper and cleaning products.
  • Organize an Easter parade for Angels' Place homes. Drive by one of the Angels' Place homes, drop off an Easter basket, send a card, place a sign on the lawn, or scatter 100 filled plastic eggs on the lawns of our homes. The residents would love this!
